Fun fact : The name "Alyssum" comes from the ancient Greek for "without madness". It was once believed that keeping the plant close could calm a troubled mind. Whether or not that holds true, one look at a full Alyssum sprig in bloom makes it very easy to believe something.
What sets the stem version apart is that it tells the whole story, not just the flower, but the full sprig, with tiny florets clustered along the stem exactly as nature arranged them. Pressing a stem with blooms still attached means keeping every single floret in place through drying, flattening, and setting without one detaching, curling, or losing its colour. It's a longer, more unpredictable process than preserving a single flower, and exactly why no two pairs look quite the same :)
