Kachnar (Bauhinia variegata) blossoms in spring, for a few short weeks between February and March, before the leaves return against bare branches, gone almost as soon as it arrives.

The petals don't hold their colour easily. Resin and time pull them toward amber and rust, veins deepening into dark copper lines through translucent gold. Not a flaw, just what this petal does under pressure.
They're hand-sculpted, petal by petal, into resin layer after layer, each one poured, cured for about a week, then hand-buffed before the next goes on. 4+ layers, where most pieces settle for 2 or 3. One slip while buffing and the layer is ruined.
What's left is a petal transformed with its veins etched dark, each curve catching light differently.
From bloom to earring, the timeline isn't measured in weeks. It's measured in the season they choose to show up and how they change once they're gone.
What does "hand-sculpted" mean? Made without a mould, using 4 or more hand-poured resin layers instead of the usual 2–3. Each layer cures for about a week and is hand-buffed before the next goes on, with the botanical hand-positioned throughout. Nothing here is templated, and no two pieces come out the same.
